SEEKING SUPPORT
Staging intimacy has the potential to be emotionally complex. Our bodies may transfer and retain energy and/or experiences which can cause us to need help processing what we are feeling. Using the concept of "closure" after a rehearsal, show or on-set shoot is a fundamental part of our work. When you are working with an Intimacy Director or Coordinator it is important to remember that they are Mental Health First Aiders. Intimacy Directors and Coordinators are not licensed counselors or therapists but they will listen confidentially* and can help you in the moment.
If you would are experiencing trauma in any way or would like additional resources to help keep your mental health at the best possible level for you then please see the mental health and self care options below.
* Mental Health First Aiders ,may break confidentiality if the matter or content can risk the life of the individual in crisis or the people around them.

National Health Services (NHS)
Although feelings of anxiety/"low-blues"/worry at certain times are completely normal, you should see your GP
if it is affecting your daily life or causing you distress (for example: changes in sleeping, focus, food intake, mood).
